What are the best rims for my F150 for off-roading?
last summer, I took my F150 out to a muddy trail and, man, did I regret not having better rims. I thought my stock ones would be fine, but they got all bent up like a pretzel after hitting some rocks.
So now I’m on the hunt for some good off-road rims. I’ve heard beadlock rims are a game changer for keeping tires on, especially when you air down. But I’m not sure if they’re worth the extra cash.
And then there’s the weight issue. I want something tough but not so heavy it feels like I’m towing a boat everywhere. Anyone got suggestions? What rims worked for you? Or maybe you’ve made some mistakes like me?
Ive taken my F150 on some gnarly trails up in the Rockies and the right rims make all the difference. I’ve had a great experience with beadlock rims they hold the tires in place and keep you from losing air.
Just make sure to check the weight rating or you’ll end up regretting it.
I ve had good luck with Method Race wheels on my F150 out in Colorado the traction was amazing on rocky trails. Just make sure they fit your tires though. Super crucial.
Also people swear by Fuel rims they look killer and hold up too. Just don’t go too flashy if your off-roading. It’s all about durability.
I ve been off-roading in my F150 around Colorado and the right rims make a huge difference.
I’ve found that aluminum alloy rims hold up better on rocky trails.
I ve tried a few rims for my F150 up in Montana and honestly the black steelies were clutch. super tough and looked awesome in the mud.
just stay away from anything too flashy unless you enjoy cleaning them every weekend.
Ive got some Method Race Wheels on my F150 and they handle the mud in Tennessee like a champ
A buddy had Fuel wheels but they bent on the rocks in Moab I’d stick with the Methods for serious off-roading
I’ve got Fuel wheels on my 2018 F150 and they’ve been solid for rocky trails in Arizona. Never thought I’d enjoy mudding this much.
Definitely worth it for anyone looking for grip and style.
Ive had great luck with Method Race wheels on my F150 out here in Colorado They handle the rocks and mud like a champ not too heavy either
But honestly be careful with the offset it can mess with your steering
