so, I’ve been looking into soft top roof tents for my RAV4 and let me tell ya, it’s a bit wild out here. I tried a few like the Tepui Explorer and wow, pretty comfy, but I’m not sure about setup time. you ever feel like you need a PhD to pitch a tent?
Then there’s the roofnest. It’s cool, but opens like an umbrella and I swear I was gonna get launched off the side of my car. But what’s your take on these? you got any faves or horror stories? I kinda want something that doesn’t feel like a wrestling match every time I camp.
I ve been eyeing a soft top tent for my RAV4 like crazy since my trip to Banff last summer. The flexibility of setup is amazing
I love how they easily fold down. But some options feel flimsy once you’re up there.
Still looking into those sturdier brands for next time like Tepui or iKamper.

Ive always loved camping in my RAV4 especially up in the mountains of British Columbia. The soft top tents make it so easy to set up and take down after a long day of hiking.
I ve tried a couple and I must say the Tepui models are pretty cool. They feel sturdy and offer decent headspace which is nice when you’re stuck inside during a rainstorm.
Looking for that cozy vibe you know.
I was campin in Alberta last summer and saw a RAV4 with a soft top tent. Pretty rad idea really.
The Teton Sports tent looks awesome I have to say. I ve heard good things about the Adventure Wagon too but man the price is kinda steep.
I ve just been using a ground tent mostly cause packing’s easier but I can see the appeal of the roof option for sure.
I ve tried a few soft top roof tents on my RAV4 while camping in the Rockies loved the ease but some were tricky to set up. The Tepui and iKamper tents are decent but the weight can be an issue for longer trips.
Still a great way to enjoy the outdoors though

I’ve also heard good things about the Thule Tepui series but not sure if they fit just right on my RAV4. It’s a lot of choices out there.

the Tuff Stuff Ranger was a game changer for me. plenty of space for two and the fabric held up against unexpected rain.
def recommend it if you’re into weekend getaways.
I’ve been eyeing the Tepui rooftop tents for my RAV4 during summer trips around Colorado. They look snug and easy to set up but I wonder about wind noise.
Sometimes I think about how a rooftop tent changes the whole camping game. Gotta love the views up there although I’ve heard some soft tops can struggle in heavy rain.

The easy setup and comfort can’t be beat
I’ve been using the Tepui HyBox lately and it’s been pretty solid for my RAV4 on those weekend trips to the Smokies. Really easy to set up.
On the flip side I’ve heard some folks say the tent isn’t as durable as other options. But I still think it’s worth it for the price.
Stumbled upon a soft top roof tent for my RAV4 last summer while camping in the Rockies. I’ve gotta say it was life changing. Super easy setup and I’ve enjoyed the fresh air.
I have checked out a few options and the Tepui and iKamper seem pretty solid.
But I’ve heard some mixed reviews on durability. Weather in the PNW can be brutal you know so it could be a gamble.
I ve seen some cool RAV4 soft top tents out camping in the Pacific Northwest. They look really cozy and perfect for stargazing. If I had one I’d probably never want to go home.
