I’ve been all over the Rockies with my '16 Pilot. For heavy sleds, I love my 2-inch receiver ball hitch. Easy to mount and solid. Some buddies swear by a class III if you’re hauling bike racks. Goes like a dream, no fuss. Nothing better for family trips!
In Seattle, I’ve tried a couple for my 2016 Pilot. The Curt CST 5252 Class III hitch is top-notch — strong and easy to install. Never had an issue with it on long hauls, even with my camper hitched. Switched from a cheaper brand and no regrets!
