I’ve noticed with my '04 Focus SVT in Canada, the timing chain can act up if not replaced timely. Also, head gasket issues are a pain. Check it twice to save yourself some tears! Noticed by my mechanic too.
I’ve owned a 2004 Ford Focus SVT here in Texas, and boy, did it have its quirks. The timing chain was a real pain lucked out by replacing it during warranty. The A/C gave up on me; common enough issue around here. Driveability was solid, but the rust on the wheel wells? A big ol’ headache. Repair costs creeping up was always a worry, but it was still a beast to drive. Overall, a mixed bag for sure, but I enjoyed those fast rides!
I’ve had my fair share of issues with the 2004 Ford Focus SVT around Texas. The diffs often go crazy, especially with the track persona! Had to swap some suspension parts mostly. Plus, the engine sometimes feels like it’s missing a beat during a hard acceleration. Tend to avoid hitting 6000 RPM zone for a smooth experience. Anyone else here deal with this? Would love to hear!
