What are common issues with the 2001 Acura TL model?

so i had a 2001 acura tl and man, some issues i can tell you about. the suspension was a mess, felt like i was driving over a washing machine sometimes. and the timing belt - gotta check it regularly or face a major engine problem. ever had to replace an expensive part like that?

the radio and electronics were finicky too, like they had a mind of their own. you turn the knob and nothing happens, or switch on the lights and the radio goes dead.

and don’t even get me started on the air conditioning, it worked half the time. but hey, driving was smooth when it was working fine. anyone else have similar stories or know a good fix for these issues?

In California, I’ve had my fair share of rust and electrical issues with my ‘01 Acura TL. Engine shuddering too! Friends up north in Toronto dealin’ with the same. Oldie but a handful!

I’ve been in Belgrade Lakes, Maine, and had a rough time with my '01 Acura TL—electronic issues were killer! Wheel bearings sound like a dying dog, and the A/C quit outta nowhere. Brakes seemed weak too. Feel like I’m driving a paperweight sometimes, but it runs, ya know?

I’ve got an old '01 Acura TL down in Florida, and lemme tell ya, the transmission takes forever to shift gears—it’s like it’s on molasses! The digital radio box is another headache. It’s glitchy man, sometimes it won’t even tune in. I’m not hating on my ride though, still cruises smooth. But man, those issues pop up, especially in the dead of the summer heat. At least the looks still do it for me!

I’ve had my fair share of rides with the '01 Acura TL, living in sunny California. Power steering sometimes gives me grief, can be a prickly four seasons ride! My buddy in Ontario, Canada, had the engine light just flashing non-stop. But hey, still love the style and smoothness overall. GTG with the classic vibes on this ride!

I’ve got an '01 Acura TL in Toronto and let me tell ya, the power steering belt has given me headaches! Keeps going kaput unexpectedly. So annoying! Someone said it might live in in Houston too. Just take it to a decent mechanic and they can sort it. Plus, the transmission went out on my cousin’s here in Michigan. Total trouble. Still love her though, she’s a rockstar on the road.

I’ve owned a 2001 Acura TL in Canada, and let me tell ya, it’s had its fair share of headaches. The transmission acts up sometimes, especially when shifting gears—literally throws a fit. And, ugh, the intermittent electrical issues are no joke! The AC’s been a struggle too, like it just gives up in the middle of summer. But hey, still love the ride despite the quirks!

I’ve got a '01 Acura TL in Texas, went thru some rough times, especially with the timing belt and a few electronics acting up. Never a dull moment with this ride, ya know? Heard bout calipers seizing on my buddies, too. Keeps me on edge but still love it.

I’ve got a 2001 Acura TL up here in Canada—sweet ride initially. Noticed the headlamp often burns out, and the suspension feels a bit rough riding over potholes. Interior lights are finicky, too! Easy to fix but annoying. Anyone had better luck with these issues?

I’ve got firsthand experience with a '01 Acura TL here in LA. The electrical system can be finicky—lights flicker, dashboard icons act up. The timing belt’s a known issue, too. My buddy’s in Toronto, mentioned his motor had issues. Overall solid car, but keep eye on these things if ya don’t wanna be stranded! It’s a ride worth keeping if you maintain it proper.

I’ve had issues with my '01 Acura TL in Toronto — heater’s a no-go and the transmission’s quirky. Some parts are hard to find, but classic ride vibes. Check out forums for DIY fixes! LoL, always an adventure with it.
