so i got the 14 hyundai elantra and been having a bit of trouble with it. first off, the A/C goes kaput sometimes. like literally stops working out of nowhere. any of u guys deal with that? i went to the shop and they said something about the compressor. got fixed but it happened again. also the turning signal light, it goes off while driving but stays on when parked. kinda annoying, right?
and the engine light on and off like crazy. they said something about the oxygen sensor, had to replace it but still kinda dodgy. and oh, the brake pedal feels spongy at times, ever heard of that?
btw, the paint, stains like a magnet. wash it and poof another mark appears. any tips? thanks for listening to my gripes
I’ve got an '09 Elantra in Toronto, and mine’s had its dance with tire issues. Wheel bearings are a real pain too, needed a swap just last year. Brake problems seem common here. Battery life’s been a drag, had two replacements in four years. Anyone else see these same beefs? Maybe something to do with cold weather here, but dang it’s annoying!
I’ve had a ‘14 Hyundai Elantra in Seattle, and the transmission messin’ with me. Also, some friends said the A/C acts up mid-ride. Just keepin’ it real with the Elantra issues.

I’ve had a couple of issues with my '14 Elantra here in Texas. The AC blows fuses like crazy, and the engine light pops on and off for no reason. Brake warning light’s been a nag too. Not the worst car, but a bit of a pain sometimes. Spoiler: it’s tires can have rips easily! Hoping yours runs smoother.
I’ve had issues with my '14 Elantra in sunny California. Petrol consumption’s been a drag, plus the AC unit gave out in summer. Got mixed reactions from other owners here about the transmission acting up, but mine’s been solid so far. Weird, huh?
I’ve had my 14 Hyundai Elantra for years here in Canada, and I’ve noticed a few things. My engine light came on a bunch, related to the ignition switch, been a headache honestly. Suspension can be wobbly too. Overall reliable but bugs here and there, you know how it is with cars. Still glad I got it—everyone says they’re fuel-efficient!
I’ve had a few hiccups with my ‘14 Hyundai Elantra here in Canada. Oil leaks and some stalling issues popped up. Heard lots of guys talkin’ bout it, makes me kinda wary lol. Burnout can be real if you’re not careful!
I’ve owned my 14 Hyundai Elantra for a few years in Toronto, and the main issue is the battery dying too often, especially in cold weather. Some folks have said the air conditioning cuts out mid-drive, which is annoying. But hey, the gas mileage is decent, so I guess it’s not all bad. Heard it’s a common trade-off for newer models, but it never hurts to shop around for a fix before you jump in.
I’ve owned a 14 Elantra in Cali, and the tranny can act up—shifts are sometimes weird. Plus, the touchscreen’s a pain, freezes a lot. Battery issues too, got replaced twice. But it’s a solid ride beyond those hiccups! Shared experiences like mine with y’all?
I’ve had my 14 Hyundai Elantra for a couple of years now, living in Ontario, and the battery seems to kick the bucket more than north havas. Apparently, alternator issues are a biggie too. Some peeps say the brakes whisper more than they should, kinda unnerving. Anybody else in the US/Canada hav this trouble?
I’ve driven a 2014 Hyundai Elantra for years here in Texas, and it’s mostly solid, but I’ve hit a couple hiccups. I’ve had issues with the battery dying a few times, odd leaks under the hood, and the AC sometimes acting up in the summer. Despite these, it’s been a decent ride overall, power-efficient and reliable on a budget. Other folks in the Midwest report the same so maybe it’s a bit of a regional quirk?
I’ve had my 14 Hyundai Elantra here in Toronto for a while now, and some things bug me. First off, the hood latch breaks pretty easy, had to fix it twice. Also, those infotainment systems can be a nightmare—updates take forever and sometimes just freeze. Heard a lot of folks around here complain about the fuel economy either. Overall, it’s a solid car but these things got me scratching my head! Hope they get it sorted soon.
I’ve got a '14 Elantra up here in Canada. Had some quirks, like the AC acting wonky in the summer and a few electrical gremlins with the dashboard. But mostly solid, you know? Paint gets scuffed easy, though. Anyone else got similar gripes?
I’ve had my '14 Hyundai Elantra in the US for years now and there’s been a few quirks. Noticed the transmission acting up pretty often – sometimes it’s sluggish or just won’t find gears properly. Battery life’s also been shaky; had it replaced twice already! Interior plastics also seem flimsy – you can easily scratch 'em. I also hear from others in Canada with similar gripes – seems like common hiccups with this model. Guess it’s just how the cookie crumbles with these Elantras.
I’ve got a 14 Elantra in the States, ran into a couple of annoying probles. First, the AC’s like it’s on its last legs — constant repairs, ugh. Also, that pesky check engine light’s been stubborn, switched parts, but it ain’t playin’. Brakes felt a bit iffy, too, so took those to a shop trip. Not the worst, but always got something. Bought a good car, just needs TLC ya know. People love talking ’bout its spacey interior tho!
I’ve had my '14 Elantra for a couple of years up in Canada and it’s been solid mostly. Did run into issues with the transmission slipping, took a few trips to the shop. Battery life wasn’t the best either – had to replace it sooner than expected. But the ride’s comfy and the gas mileage isn’t bad! Just makes sure to stay on top of maintenance with this model. Pretty decent car overall, though!
I’ve had my Hyundai Elantra '14 for a couple years here in Canada. Noticed some issues with the engine light popping up outta nowhere, and that drivetrain protection light’s been a nuisance too. Also, the transmission’s felt a bit off sometimes—one sec you’re smooth sailing, the next it’s grinding gears. Friends mentioned suspension quirks, especially after rough winters. Overall, a solid car, but keep an eye on those idiosyncrasies. Some minor recalls too, so always check online for updates.
Driving my 14 Hyundai Elantra in Canada, I’ve noticed a few issues. The AC often blows warm air, even on full blast, and sometimes the car jerks when shifting gears. Battery problems are common, too. My friend in the States had suspension issues. But overall, the rides decently smooth for daily use, right? Anyone else experience the same quirks?
