What are common issues with Subaru Forester transmission?

I’ve had my Subaru Forester in Canada for a few years and the transmission’s been a headache. Around 80K miles, it started acting up, hesitating when I stepped on the gas. I’ve heard others say the same about shifts being rough and sometimes slipping out of gear. Definitely something to watch out for!

I’ve got a Subaru Forester up here in Ontario, and the transmission can be a real bugger. Heard of people having issues with it switching gears all jerky, especially in 4WD mode. I’ve seen forums full of frustrated folks talking about repair nightmares. Doesn’t help when it feels like the transmission’s got a mind of its own!

I used to drive a Subaru Forester in Ontario, and yeah, the transmission was a real head-scratcher. I’ve heard from buddies all over Michigan and even Quebec, the delays in shifting can be a major pain. Noticed some jerkiness when accelerating, too. Honestly, it’s like sitting on a roller coaster of stops and starts. Took it back to the dealer a few times, but it felt like hitting a brick wall. Anyone else here dealing with this transmission drama?

Loved my Subaru Forester in Seattle, but the tranny was a pain! Heard lots of clunking sounds & timing issues when shifting gears. Made trips feel more like adventures in repair! Hoping newer models are smoother, unlike the old issues.

I’ve had issues with my Subaru Forester in Canada—mainly with the automatic transmission stalling, especially when idling. Heard lotsa others in the U.S. faced similar probs, talking about unreliable gear shifts n’ rough shifts. Good luck if you’re dealing with it!

I’ve got a Subaru Forester in good old Ontario, Canada, and I’ll tell ya, the trans issues can be a pain. My buddy’s Forester had those jerky shifts, like:

stop 'n start really bad. Took me a while to find a decent mechanic who knows their stuff 'bout the CVT. Apparently, it’s common when it rains. I’ve had mine at the shop twice already, so I guess regular check-ups are key here. No stress, just keep on top of it, folks.
