Is there a recommended engine oil brand for Honda Civic 2003?
so a few months ago, i decided to change the oil in my 2003 civic for the first time. I was a bit nervous since i always just took it to the shop before. i mean, who knew there were like a million brands of oil? but i figured, hey, how hard could it be
so i went to the store and just stood there staring. they had everything from fancy synthetic stuff to the good ol’ dino oil. eventually, i grabbed some Mobil 1 just cuz it sounded kinda cool. But then i found out my buddy uses Castrol, and he swears by it.
have any of you ever tried like, leaning towards one brand over another? does it really make a difference? i mean, my car runs like a champ now but who’s to say that’s just not luck. still curious about what you all use.
I have always used Mobil 1 for my 2003 Civic in California and its great. I’ve heard good things about Castrol too. Just keep it regular and you’ll be fine.
Ive had my 2003 Civic for years now and I swear by Mobil 1 for engine oil. My buddy in Texas was always raving about it and I finally gave it a shot. The smoothness in the engine is like butter.
Some friends prefer Castrol though they say it keeps things clean. But honestly Mobil 1 just feels right to me and I’ve noticed better gas mileage too. It’s been a solid choice.
