so, i’ve driven both the mazda 3 and honda civic a few times. honestly, the mazda feels peppier off the line. like, when the light turns green, it kinda jumps ahead. but the civic is no slouch either.
i remember racing my buddy in his civic down this empty road, and i barely got ahead, maybe a car length. it was close. i mean, does anyone really care about winning in a 0-60 race? i just want to feel that rush, ya know?
but, what do you guys think? is it more about the numbers or the feel?
I ve driven both in the city and the Mazda 3 felt really zippy off the line might be quicker than the Civic in my experience but honestly they both have their charm
Civic looks good too but I’ve seen folks miss that initial punch in acceleration with it so maybe Mazda edges out a bit in that area
I’ve driven both the Mazda 3 and Honda Civic a few times around Vancouver and honestly it’s a close call. The Mazda feels peppy for sure but the Civic has that solid turbo punch in the higher trims.
It really depends on what you want from a car.
I ve driven both in my hometown near Toronto and honestly the Mazda 3 feels a bit quicker when you hit the gas.
Civic is solid but Mazda just has that edge.
I ve driven both cars in the streets of Toronto during rush hour and the Mazda 3 definitely feels quicker off the line but there s something about Civics that makes them seem like they always pull through I have to admit though the Mazda’s sporty design really gets my adrenaline going They both have their charm depending on what you want but for straight line fun I d lean towards the Mazda 3 that turbo just hits different
I drove a Mazda 3 last summer in Toronto and man that thing was quick off the line. I’ve also driven a Honda Civic and it felt like it took a second to wake up.
Seems like every time I hit the gas in the Mazda I could feel the power right away. The Civic is nice too but not as sporty. Gotta give props to the Mazda for that acceleration.
driving my Mazda 3 in Toronto was wild I felt like I could outrun anything when I hit the gas seems peppy plus the handling is tight
But I ve seen my buddy’s Civic fly off the line like it was shot from a cannon he swears by it the torque kicks in so fast
both cars are fun it really comes down to preference I guess
I remember my buddy’s Mazda 3 in Toronto we raced to the coffee shop one morning. It felt quick but my Civic stood its ground.
Honestly though both cars are fun I think the Civic edges out slightly in acceleration. Just a vibe I think.

I’ve always found the Mazda 3 to have that zippy feel in city driving maybe it’s just me but it feels quicker.
Back when I test drove both in Toronto the Civic was nice but felt kinda sluggish.
I remember driving a Mazda 3 in Toronto and feeling the zippy response when I hit the gas. It was like the car had a mind of its own.
On the other hand my buddy’s Honda Civic always seemed to lag a bit in those quick bursts. Both cars are solid but I’ve got that spark with the Mazda.
Acceleration in a hatchback it just feels right sometimes.
I ve driven both in Toronto and honestly the Mazda 3 feels quicker off the line when you stomp on the gas I remember leaving a light and it felt like a rocket the Civic is nice and all but it just doesn’t hit the same at least in the models I tried
But then again there’s something about the Civic’s handling that feels really fun I think it depends on what you’re after if its just pure acceleration go for the Mazda but for overall I might lean Civic a bit
I remember test driving a Mazda 3 once in New York and I was seriously impressed by how quick it felt off the line. I’ve always liked the Civic too but when it comes to that rush the Mazda took the lead for me.
That said the difference might not be huge but it definitely was noticeable. The thrill of that acceleration is like nothing else.
I’ve driven both in the city and Mazda 3 felt quicker off the line in my experience.
Civic is solid but the 3 has that sporty edge pushing you back in your seat a bit more.
So yeah I’d say the 3 wins in fun factor.
drove a Mazda 3 in Toronto and it felt zippy at first but then I tried a Civic and wow the pickup was crazy I’ve noticed the Civic just launches so fast off the line
don’t get me wrong the Mazda looks good and handles nice but when it comes to raw acceleration the Civic is a beast
I’ve driven both in Toronto and honestly the Civic felt zippier off the line but the Mazda has this smooth acceleration that’s kinda hard to beat I love both cars for different reasons.
last summer I took a Mazda 3 for a spin in Toronto and wow that thing was quick off the line felt faster than my buddy’s Civic.
the Civic is a solid car but the Mazda’s turbo option really packs a punch.

Depends on what you want though honestly.

I’ve always loved the sporty vibe of the Mazda perhaps gives it that boost in feels.
I remember test driving a Mazda 3 in Vancouver and it felt pretty zippy off the line. The handling was sharp like it was glued to the road. But then I hopped into a Honda Civic and man that thing just wanted to take off.
I’ve seen some comparisons online and honestly both are quick but in different ways I guess. Driving dynamics are a big deal.
