I remember my buddy who had a '85 Camry back in high school in Ohio man that thing ran forever
I’ve seen them with over 300k miles still going strong but the rust issues are real
Great gas mileage tho so perfect for daily driving if you can deal with the quirks
Dude I’ve had my 1985 Camry for about three years now and honestly its a tank. I drive it everyday to work in Toronto and it just keeps going.
Sure its got some quirks like the windows are slow but who cares
I swear its built like a brick house
I ve got a buddy in Toronto who swears by his 85 Camry says its like a trusty old dog just won’t quit. I think he’s driven it through snowstorms and summer road trips and it just keeps going somehow.
That said I ve heard of a few folks in Ohio complain about rust issues given how old the thing is. But if you can find one in decent shape its a gem for sure.
Ive got a friend in Toronto who swears by his 1985 Camry for daily drives He says its like a tank never fails to start even in the coldest winter mornings
Its not the fastest ride but I think if you want reliable its hard to beat something that old when it comes to just getting you from A to B
I ve driven a 1985 Camry for years down here in Oregon. It just keeps going no matter the weather. No fancy tech or anything but it gets me to work. It’s like that reliable friend who never bails on plans. But then again I’ve done some repairs here and there. Just depends on how well it’s been taken care of I guess.
dude I had a 85 camry in high school in Canada it never let me down I drove it like a maniac and it just kept chugging along like a champ
so yeah if you find one in good shape it’s a solid choice for daily driving
