Is Honda CRV EX vs EXL worth the price difference?

so, a while ago, I was in the market for a new car and I really liked the Honda CRV. I looked at the EX and EXL. But honestly, I was like, “is it really worth spending more just for a few extra bells and whistles?” I mean, I just wanted to drive and not feel like I was in a spaceship.

well, I took the EX for a spin, and it was nice, like super comfy and good on gas. Then I sat in the EXL and wow, those leather seats felt like a hug from a cloud. But did that justify the price? Maybe?

Honestly, I wish I could just combine them, right? like take the EX and sprinkle a little luxury from EXL on top. Anyone else feel this way or is it just me being cheap?

Living in Seattle I’ve driven both and I gotta say the EXL feels a bit fancier but not sure it justifies the price bump honestly. I ve had my EX for a year now and love it for the price. Features are solid too.

Ive driven both in Ohio and honestly the EX feels just right. The added features in the EXL are nice but do you really need 'em? Sometimes I think it’s just extra fluff.

I once drove my buddy’s CRV EXL in Toronto and man the extra features felt luxe but not sure if its worth the price bump. I’ve had the EX model for a year now and I feel like it does the job just fine. Can’t deny the EXL looks slick tho. But hey it’s all about what you value more.

Living in Seattle I have driven both models and honestly the EXL feels more premium with the extra features but I ve also seen folks just happy with the EX basics I guess it depends on what you value I mean heated leather seats and those fancy safety options are nice but some may not need all that if you just want a reliable ride for daily commutes. It’s like choosing between a cozy sweater and a fancy jacket.

I ve been driving a 2021 CRV EX for a year now and love it. The added features in the EXL are nice but not really worth the extra cost to me.

For me its all about practicality and cost. I have friends who splurged on the EXL but honestly I don’t miss the bells and whistles.

I drove a CRV EXL for a few years in Toronto and honestly I loved it. The extra features in the EXL like leather seats and upgraded audio made a difference in my daily commute.

But I ve had buddies who swear the EX is more than enough for what they need.

If you don’t care for leather or a fancier sound system just stick with the EX and save some cash. Simple as that.

I ve driven both models around Seattle and honestly the EXL’s add-ons feel kinda unnecessary to me. I mean yeah leather seats are nice but do I need them? The price bump had me scratching my head especially since the EX has all the essentials.

For those who love tech stuff the EXL is cool but I’m just not that into it. It’s a Honda so you can’t really go wrong but for the price difference I think the EX holds up better for everyday needs.

lived in Toronto for a while and I gotta say got the EX model my buddy went for the EXL and honestly I don’t see the huge deal for the extra cash sure the leather seats are nice but for the features I think the EX holds its own pretty well. seems a bit much for ya know upgraded trims

I ve driven both in California and the EX is solid but that leather in the EXL makes a difference on long drives comfort wise

Still not sure if it’s really worth that extra cash though

I drive a 2021 CRV EX in Toronto and I love it. The sunroof and leather seats in the EXL are tempting but I’ve been totally happy with the features in the EX. I think the price jump isn’t worth it for just a few extra luxuries. Plus the EX already comes with a solid tech package which is all I need.

I ve had both models and honestly the EXL is nice but I don’t think the price bump is totally worth it depends on how fancy you wanna be.

The leather seats and that moonroof are cool but I can live without them. In the end its just a Honda and they’re all pretty reliable anyway.

I ve driven both models in Colorado and honestly the EXL feels more premium with the leather and extra tech but the price jump is kinda steep I guess it depends on your preferences

The EX still feels pretty nice though and if you don’t care about the bells and whistles it might be a smarter choice

I ve driven both and for me the extra features in the EXL just aren’t worth the higher price I have friends who love their EXL but I guess its all about what you value most in a vehicle

I ve driven both in Canada and the EX definitely feels a bit stripped down compared to the EXL. The extra features in the EXL are nice but I wouldn’t say they’re essential.

If you’re fine without the leather seats and all the tech bells and whistles the EX will save you some cash for gas. So it kinda depends on what you really want.
