so I’ve been thinking about this lightweight flywheel for my 2015 civic si. I’ve heard it makes the car feel peppier, like it’s ready to go at the drop of a hat. I drove a buddy’s car with one, and wow, it was like the engine was begging to rev higher. But, honestly, is it really worth the cash?
I mean, they say it makes shifting smoother, but then again, I’m not racing every day. Is spending a bunch just for some fun really smart? I’d rather save for some sick rims or a turbo kit, but maybe I’m missing something here. What do you think?
I ve had a 2015 Civic Si and honestly it felt a bit sluggish sometimes. Swapped to a lightweight flywheel and wow what a difference in responsiveness.
Im in California so the canyons have been a blast now. Totally worth it.
I ve been thinking about this crazy lightweight flywheel thing for my 2015 Civic Si out here in Canada. Honestly I have mixed feelings about it. Sure it can improve rev response but I’ve heard the downsides too like chatter and possible stalling. It’s a toss up for sure.
If you like quick gear changes and track days it might be worth it but if you just cruise around town maybe skip it. Just my two cents.
I ve been thinking about a lightweight flywheel for my 2015 Civic Si really noticed a difference in response with my friend’s car feels super quick in the city.
But my wallet’s feeling the pinch lately not sure if it’s worth the hype.
I’ve been running a 2015 Civic Si in Toronto for a couple years now and honestly the thought of a lightweight flywheel gets me excited. Felt a difference with my buddies’ rides so I decided to go for it.
You can really feel that rev difference it’s like a rush.
I ve got a 2014 Civic and I installed a lightweight flywheel last summer in LA definitely noticed quicker revs and more fun on the twisties
Downside is daily driving feels a bit choppy at times but honestly for spirited drives it was worth every penny
definitely worth it I ve got one on my 2015 Civic Si and it made the car feel way more responsive
I remember hitting the twisties in California and it was just pure joy
I ve got a 2015 Si and did the lightweight flywheel last summer in Chicago. Honestly I noticed a big difference in acceleration it feels more peppy and snappy. Some say it’s harsh on the daily driving but I think it adds character to the car. Totally worth it from my view.
I’ve got a 2015 Civic Si too and went for the lightweight flywheel last summer in Ohio. It made my shifts super quick and the engine feels so much more responsive. Sure it cost a bit but the fun factor just went up a notch. Love the little things that make a difference.
had a 2015 civic si in new york and last year I put in a lightweight flywheel it was a game changer in acceleration felt way more responsive I’ve read mixed opinions but honestly if you love spirited driving its worth it
just be ready for some extra chatter at idle but it’s not a big deal
I’ve had a 2015 Civic Si in Michigan for a while now and recently swapped in a lightweight flywheel. Honestly it feels like the car just wakes up at high RPMs. The throttle response is sharper and the overall weight reduction helps with the nimbleness. Can’t complain about that. Just make sure to get a good tune after.
I ve had my 2015 Civic Si for a couple years now and honestly a lightweight flywheel sounds tempting but the cost kinda makes me hesitant. Might just end up being a fun experiment though
I’ve heard mixed things from friends here in California some love the quicker revs others say it makes daily driving a bit annoying. Just depends on how you want to use your ride.
I ve got a 2015 Civic Si and putting in a lightweight flywheel made a huge difference for me in the hills of California It revs faster and feels more responsive It’s one of those mods that really changes your driving experience no doubt.
I ve had my 2015 Civic Si for a few years now and consider a lightweight flywheel. Honestly I love the idea of quicker revs but I’m kinda on the fence about the drivability. My buddy in California did it and swears by it but I hear it can make city driving kinda rough. Might be worth it for the track but I don’t know about daily driving. Just something to think about.
I ve had a 2015 Civic Si for a few years now and honestly I love how it feels. last summer I put on a lightweight flywheel and man you notice that difference right away.
like I don’t race or anything but just driving around town it feels quicker to rev. totally worth it if you ask me.
Honestly I ve been toying with the idea since my buddy in California dropped one in his 2015 Si and raves about it Thinkin it might bring a fun little pep to my daily drive here in Toronto
Ive had my 2015 Si for a while now and changing to a lightweight flywheel was game changer you feel the throttle response so much better
Honestly not sure if its worth the price but if you love driving its definitely a nice upgrade.
I ve got a 2015 SI and last summer I put in a lightweight flywheel. Man it revs like crazy now it’s a blast. Felt the difference immediately especially in the back roads of New England. Just wish I didn’t have to deal with the chatter at idle tho.
Overall good investment if you want to feel that more responsive drive. Just be ready to trade some comfort for fun
I’ve been driving a 2015 Si in Seattle and the stock flywheel feels heavy for revs. A lightweight one could really change the game my buddy did it and said it’s like night and day on acceleration but also it could make driving stop and go a bit tricky.
ive got one on my 2015 Si and it made a difference in how the car feels. more responsive for sure.
but my buddy says its not worth the hassle. depends on what ya want I guess.
