How to remove ashtray 2004 ford f150 for cleaning purposes?

hey guys, so I was cleaning my 2004 F150 and decided to take out the ashtray. It was gross, full of crumbs and who knows what else. felt like a science experiment. anyway, to pull it out, you just gotta push down and slide it out. But I was like wrestling with it for a bit, wondering if it was glued in or something.

after some serious tugging, it finally came out. I almost thought I was breaking my truck. it’s wild how much stuff collects in those little spots. makes you think, where’s all this junk even coming from?

the cleaning part was easy tho. just soap and water. my truck smells way better now. anyone else have a hidden mess in their ride? always feels good to clean a little, right
