How to install a diy digital dash in my civic ek?
so the other day, i was driving my ek and thinking how cool it would be to have a digital dash instead of the old stuff. like, who doesn’t want to feel like they’re in a spaceship? anyways, i decided to jump into it, but wow, it was a ride.
first thing, i got a cheap digital dash kit online. but like, the instructions were written in a language that seemed made up. i mean, how hard can it be to write down steps? just plug and play, right?
then i had to pull apart my whole dash, which was a bit scary. i swear i lost like 5 screws, but they probably just wanted to escape too.
and does anyone else struggle with wiring? i mean, there’s just sooo many colors. which one goes where? if i can get it working, i’ll feel like a genius. how long do you guys usually take to do these kinds of things?
in the end, it was kinda fun. just a little messy, but aren’t we all?
