How reliable is a pre owned honda civic compared to new?

so I bought a used Honda Civic like 2 years ago. had around 50k miles on it. thought I was gonna save a ton of cash. but honestly, it turned out to be a pretty solid ride. never really broke down.

my buddy got a new Civic last year. paid like double what I did. but he’s always at the dealer for something minor. like, is it normal for a brand-new car to have hiccups already?

But on the flip side, my Civic did need a new battery after a year. thinking of that, maybe new isn’t so bad for stuff like that.

sure, my used one might not have all the shiny features, but who needs heated seats when your car runs like a champ? anyone else had the same vibes with pre-owned vs new?

I ve always had great luck with pre owned Honda Civics. My buddy in Toronto got his with 80k miles and it still runs like a champ.

Meanwhile I got a new one last year and lets just say the tech is cool but its in the shop more than my old one ever was.

Reliability seems to be a hit or miss for new cars these days.

Ive owned two used Honda Civics in Toronto and honestly they were super reliable.

My buddy got a new one and he’s always worrying about it.

Kinda funny right? Guess it depends on how you treat them.

I have a 2017 Honda Civic and it’s been super reliable here in Toronto. I swear it’s like a little energizer bunny just keeps going.

Compared to new ones sure the tech isn’t as flashy but honestly unless you like shiny things I think the pre-owned ones are solid. You save bucks and still get a great ride.

Plus the Hondas just age well so there’s that.

I ve had a pre owned Honda Civic for three years now and honestly it runs like a champ honestly way more fun than my buddy’s brand new car.

Sure new cars have their tech but I just love the character of my old reliable.

I ve had my pre owned Honda Civic for 3 years now and it’s been solid never had major issues. I think they hold up pretty well compared to new ones. Plus it’s easier on the wallet.

I love how they’re reliable but yeah some quirks can pop up with used ones. Still I’d trust a Civic to last longer than some new cars in the snowy winters of Canada.

I’ve owned a pre owned Honda Civic for about four years now and honestly it’s been a solid car. I drive it every day in Toronto and it rarely gives me trouble.

Of course compared to new you miss out on some tech features but the reliability is still there. My friend bought a new Civic and I’ve seen him in the shop more often than I like.

Older models just have this magic about them

I remember my buddy had a pre owned Honda Civic from 2016 and it was still running great here in Michigan. I’ve heard lots of stories about them lasting forever but new cars have that fresh feel.

I ve had a pre owned Honda Civic for three years now and its still going strong. I live in Toronto and can say its super reliable even after all that time.

The new ones look good but I can’t see myself spending the extra cash when used ones hold up so well.

I ve had my pre owned Honda Civic for three years now and honestly its been solid. I got it in Seattle and it just keeps going.

Of course a new one is nice and all shiny but the reliability of a well maintained used Civic is hard to beat.

Plus the price difference lets you pocket some cash for adventures or coffee runs. Can’t hate on that.

I bought a pre owned Honda Civic in Vancouver and I love it. I ve had zero issues in 3 years.

They really last forever.

Sure new cars have bells and whistles but for reliability and cost I think the pre owned is a smart choice.

My friend’s Civic is from 2008 and runs like a dream. That’s saying something.
