How does the F150 27 ecoboost perform in towing capacities?

so a few months ago, I decided to take my F150 27 ecoboost on a camping trip with the fam. I had a decent trailer with all our gear, and I was a bit nervous since I never towed anything that big before. But wow, it handled it like a champ.

I mean, I was zooming up hills with no problem, and it didn’t feel like I was pulling a small house. Like, who woulda thought a truck with a 2.7L engine could do that? My buddy jokes that I should be a truck driver now, but I think I’ll stick to my regular job.

And I gotta say, it’s kinda impressive on gas too. I thought I’d be stopping for fuel every hour, but it surprised me. Anyone else had similar experiences? Or maybe a horror story with towing?

Ive been towing my boat with the F150 27 ecoboost around the lakes in Michigan and honestly its impressive. Pulling the weight up those hilly roads is surprisingly smooth. I have friends who swear by it for camping trips too

I ve heard others say it struggles a bit with bigger trailers but for what I’ve needed its been solid. The fuel efficiency while towing is decent too which is a nice bonus

I remember towing my boat around Lake Ontario last summer with my F150 27 ecoboost and honestly it ripped through like a champ. I ve pulled heavier stuff with it and it never struggled.

Towing campers up in the Rockies it handled the inclines surprisingly well. I’ve had trucks before but this one just feels different in a good way.

Towing capacity is solid I mean I haven’t had any issues even on those steep California hills. Fuel efficiency while towing is also better than I expected which is a bonus

Just wish the interior was a bit roomier but overall can’t complain. It gets the job done

had a 27 eco boost F150 in Texas for a while and it tows like a champ I ve pulled my boat and trailer with ease even on those hilly roads it impresses me every time

The torque really kicks in and pulling feels effortless.

Though some people say it’s not the best for heavy loads I’d argue it does just fine for my needs. I was pulling a decent size boat and didn’t feel the strain at all.

I’ve had my F150 27 ecoboost for a couple years now. Towed my camper up to the Rockies last summer and it handled the hills like a champ.

Powerful engine no doubt but fuel economy dips when towing. Still love it though.

I’ve been using my F150 27 EcoBoost for towing my boat up in Minnesota and man it’s impressive. Pulls like a dream on the highway even through those hilly terrain. Just the other weekend I loaded up my gear and didn’t even feel it back there.

I’ve heard some folks say it struggles with heavier loads but honestly for what I need it does the job just fine. Definitely a solid choice for towing.

Had my F150 with the 2.7 ecoboost in Alberta last summer towing a ski boat. I’ve never felt more confident. Power seems solid though the mpg dips when loaded but I can deal with that.

That engine just pulls like crazy even with a full load. It can get a bit thirsty on the gas though but worth it for the power.
