How does an f150 grill guard affect my truck's performance?

i’ve had my F150 for a couple years now, and I recently added a grill guard. honestly, at first, I thought it would just make my truck look tougher. And it does, but I was surprised by how it affected performance too.

But, like, it adds some weight. I mean, if you’re looking for speed, you might feel a tiny difference. I didn’t notice mine slowing down much, but I guess I’m not drag racing anytime soon.

Have any of you guys noticed power changes? Or do you just love the look?

I’ve noticed that adding a grill guard to my F150 in Texas really doesn’t hinder performance much at all. Actually, it gives me some peace of mind while off-roading. Just a bit more weight up front, but the look is totally worth it!

Living in Montana, I’ve noticed my F150’s grill guard protects it well in rough terrain. It does add some weight tho, so I’ve felt a slight dip in MPG. Still, the peace of mind is worth it for sure!

I’ve gotta say, I installed a grill guard on my F150 here in Texas, and I love it! It gives my truck a rugged look and protects against deer collisions.
