How does a honda civic si 10th gen downpipe affect performance?

yo, so i recently put a downpipe on my 10th gen civic si and let me tell you, it was a game changer. first off, the sound is like music, way more aggressive. feels like my car finally woke up from a nap.

but the power increase was pretty noticeable too. like, i could actually feel the turbo spooling faster. and yeah, some folks say it helps with acceleration but i didn’t expect it to be that zippy. i mean, it’s not a rocket ship now, but it’s definitely more fun to drive.

i heard some people get worried about a check engine light after installing one, but i got lucky. and the low end torque feels better too, just more fun to slam on the gas. have you guys noticed any difference in your rides after new mods? sometimes i think mods just make us feel cool, but this one actually did something. weird, right

Ive got a 10th gen Civic Si in Canada and the difference after adding a downpipe was crazy. I’ve felt better throttle response and a nice increase in power. It just pulls harder now.

But my buddy did the same mod and his car is kinda loud now. Sounds wild but might turn heads a little too much. So depends on what you want.

I remember when I put a downpipe on my 10th gen Si in Canada it was like unlocking a new level. The turbo spooled faster and the sound was so much deeper. I’ve noticed a nice bump in power especially in the midrange.

Definitely worth considering if you’re into mods.

I’ve noticed my 10th gen Civic Si really wakes up with a downpipe. Living in Toronto I can feel the extra power especially during those highway merges. It adds a nice growl too but be ready for some cops to notice ya more often.

Working on my 10th gen Si in California I’ve noticed the downpipe really wakes up the engine. I have a buddy who did it too and he couldn’t stop raving about the extra pull. Definitely adds a nice growl to it too.

I ve been curious about this since I installed a downpipe on my 10th gen in Toronto. The sound is way louder like you can really hear that turbo spooling up.

Performance wise it definitely feels peppier especially in the midrange which is what I love. I have had some occasional check engine lights though which kinda sucks but the fun factor is so worth it.

Dropped a downpipe on my 10th gen Civic Si in Toronto and wow what a difference. I ve noticed smoother acceleration and a more aggressive sound than before. It really feels like the turbo can breathe now.

Some folks say it’s too loud but I kinda love it. If you’re thinking about it definitely worth considering just be ready for some extra attention from the law. :racing_car:

had a 10th gen civic si up in Toronto and swapped out the downpipe. man did it wake up the car sounded so much better especially when you push it I’ve noticed a nice bump in power in the midrange really pulls hard now.

but my buddy said it might mess with emissions so I guess it depends on what you’re going for. still worth it for a bit of fun though.

I ve got a 10th gen Civic Si and I installed a downpipe last summer in my garage in Toronto. The increase in power was noticeable really like a night and day difference.

But also my car got a bit louder sometimes maybe too loud for my taste. Overall I m happy with the boost though even if it rattles the neighbors a bit.

I’ve heard the downpipe really wakes up the engine makes it sound like a beast. Had mine done last summer in California.

Definitely feel the extra pull especially when hitting the highway. Not for everyone but it’s a nice touch.

I’ve had my 10th gen Civic Si for a while now and when I added a downpipe it was like night and day. In Ontario the boost came on way quicker and the sound was so much better. I was surprised by how much more responsive the throttle became.

Ive heard some mixed things about legality though so make sure you’re aware of that if you live in the states. It’s a trade off but for me it was worth it.

Downpipes can be a game changer I’ve noticed this in my 10th gen Civic Si here in Canada. Felt the turbo spool up faster and the exhaust note is just so much more aggressive.

Sure it can be a bit louder than I’d like sometimes but the power increase is worth it. Just gotta keep an eye on the drone though.

I ve had my 10th gen Civic Si for a couple years now and finally put a downpipe on it. Wow what a difference it makes. The throttle response is insane now.

Just driving around Toronto I feel like I have more power at low RPMs and the sound is a whole new level. It’s like my car finally woke up.

I’ve seen a crazy change after installing a downpipe on my 10th gen Si here in Canada. You know it feels like my car’s breathing so much better now.

The turbo spools up quicker which is a blast around town. But it’s a bit louder than I expected. Still worth it for that extra boost in power though.

I ve noticed my 10th gen si really woke up after adding a downpipe. It’s like breathing fresh air in San Francisco traffic. Power delivery is super smooth now.

I have to say though it’s definitely louder but in a good way if you like that sort of thing. Makes you feel alive behind the wheel.

I’ve noticed the downpipe really wakes up my Civic Si around here in Canada it’s like breathing finally for my engine I can’t believe how much punch I got on the highway now pretty wild

I remember when I put a downpipe on my 10th gen Civic Si in California and wow the sound changed it was so much deeper. I’ve felt the power increase especially in the mid-range rpm.

But it does throw a check engine light sometimes which is annoying. Still worth it for that extra pep and the fun factor. Overall a cool upgrade if you can deal with the little quirks.

Dude I had a 10th gen Civic Si and putting a downpipe on it seriously woke the beast up.

The sound was epic and the throttle response was way better. I’ve felt the difference driving in the hills around Vancouver.
