How do I replace the Honda Civic rack in my car?

so, swapping out the rack on my Honda Civic was quite the adventure. I mean, who knew steering could feel like wrestling a bear? first, I jacked up the car and found out my jack stands were, like, too short. so I felt like I was playing a game of “how low can you go.” But after some creativity, I got it sorted.

then, disconnecting those pesky bolts took forever. I swear, I thought I was going to strip them. ever had that moment where you’re just praying it doesn’t snap? like, what do you do then? anyway, got it off and the new one in. also, pro tip: do not drop the washer in the gravel, it’s like a black hole.

overall, doing it yourself saves cash, but my back wasn’t too happy with me. has anyone else dealt with a rack replacement?
