How do I replace the camshaft on a 2007 honda civic ex?
so last summer, I decided to tackle my camshaft issue on my 07 civic. man, I thought it would be easy, like changing a tire or something. turns out, I was wrong. spent hours in my garage, cursing at my car like it was the worst enemy ever. anyone else been there?
but when I finally got it out, it felt like a win. I watched a ton of YouTube videos, but they never really showed how messy it’d get. like, who knew oil could go everywhere? do I need to change the seals too or just the camshaft? any tips would help, cause I don’t wanna do this again anytime soon.
and seriously, if I can do this, anyone can. just don’t forget to keep track of all those tiny bolts. my dog almost ate one, and I was ready to lose it.
I ve done this on my 2008 civic and let me tell ya it was a pain in the neck in my garage in Oregon but felt good once I finished it.
Make sure you have the right tools or you’ll end up frustrated.
