How do I install roof rails on a Honda CRV?
so, I decided to add roof rails to my Honda CRV last summer. I figured it’d be perfect for all the camping gear I keep tripping over in my garage. But let me tell you, I underestimated how tricky it could be.
the first thing I did was watch a bunch of YouTube vids. They made it look so easy, like, just screw this here and snap that there. But when I actually got to it, I was staring at my CRV like it was an alien spaceship or something.
I ended up losing a screw, which was super annoying, and had to run to the hardware store. That’s the worst, right? Are all screws conspiring against me? And then, finally, after some cursing and a lot of trial and error, I got them on. Does it make me an expert now or just a proud CRV owner with a slight headache?
I ve done this on my CRV in California and man it was easier than I thought just took a couple hours
Not gonna lie felt like a wizard completing a cool spell or something
I ve always loved the look of roof rails on my CRV especially here in Oregon where hiking is a must. When I tried to install mine it was a bit tricky though. There are definitely some you tube videos that help out but it took me longer than I expected. Just make sure your measurements are spot on.
Once you figure it out its totally worth it.
I just put roof rails on my Honda CRV last month in Michigan and it was pretty straightforward I think I’ve got the hang of it now I used some YouTube videos for guidance and honestly they were a lifesaver the trickiest part was aligning everything so it didn’t look wonky though.
Had a buddy help me out too he was a big help but I definitely feel like I could’ve done it solo if I’d had more time Never knew roof rails could change the look of the car so much it’s like instant adventure mode.
