How do I install 2007 toyota camry side moulding properly?
so, a while back, I decided to give my 2007 camry a lil’ facelift, right? I thought putting on side moulding would be easy. But then I realized, it’s like trying to put together IKEA furniture without the instructions. I almost ended up painting my hands instead of the car.
the first step was cleaning the old stuff off. It took forever, and I think I used half a bottle of goof off. But when I finally got it, I just slapped on the new moulding with that adhesive tape stuff. Why is it always sticky when you don’t want it to be?
and then, I thought I’d press it down for a while, but I ended up doing the dance of the impatient. Is there a magic time for it to stick better? next time, maybe I’ll get a pro, but who doesn’t like a little DIY chaos, right
back in 2018 I ve got my 2007 Camry in Toronto and the side moulding was peeling off I have to admit it was a frustrating experience as I thought the whole car would fall apart I ended up using double sided tape which worked surprisingly well
the real trick is aligning it just right I ve seen some folks make it look easy but I struggled at first honestly you just gotta take your time and it’ll come out decent
I once had a 2007 Toyota Camry and trying to install the side moulding was a bit of a wild ride. Living in Vancouver the rain didn’t help my adhesive situation. I ve heard mixed reviews about the overlap technique. Some say it’s easier but I ended up with gaps. Definitely grab the right tools before starting. Just saying it could save you some time and headaches down the line.
I remember when I did this for my 2007 Camry back in New York it was a bit of a struggle but totally worth it
