so, I’ve been dealing with this annoying thump from the intake on my 2015 F150. at first, I thought it was just me being paranoid, ya know? but then my buddy rode with me, and he was like, “dude, what’s that noise?”
I figured maybe it was the air filter or something. swapped it but still got the thump. has anyone else had this? sometimes I wonder if it’s just the truck telling me it wants a vacation or something, haha. any tips would be cool to fix it.
I had a thump coming from my intake too when I was driving around Denver last winter.
Turned out to be the air filter not seated right.
I’ve fixed it and now my F150 runs smoother than ever. Sometimes these little things can get overlooked especially in the cold months when you just wanna get from A to B.

Have you checked the mounts too? That could be the culprit.

I remember driving my 2014 F150 in Texas and that damn thump started. It was nerve-wracking man. I ve tried tightening the intake clamp and replacing the air filter but the thump persists. sometimes they say it could be the throttle body or just a loose clamp. Every little bump feels like a big deal when you’re driving.
I drove my 2015 F150 last summer in Arizona and the intake thump got pretty annoying I’ve noticed it happens more when accelerating hard I’ve found that tightening the intake pipes helped a bit but then it came back
My buddy swears by an aftermarket intake which he says quieted his down so I might try that next

Check the intake manifold bolts sometimes they get loose or the gasket starts to wear which causes that sound.
Man I remember when I had a thump in my F150 in Calgary it drove me crazy I replaced the intake and still heard it. I’ve read that checking the hose connections can help and sometimes it’s just a loose bolt somewhere I’ll never know right
