How do I find the front sway bar diameter on a 2007 honda civic ex coupe?

so, i was swapping out my old suspension last weekend, right? got all excited like a kid in a candy store. but then, i realized i had no clue what the sway bar diameter was. like, how did i go from “i got this” to “what’s a sway bar” in seconds?

i tried measuring it with a ruler, but that’s like trying to weigh a whale with a kitchen scale. it obviously didn’t work. but then, i looked online and saw some posts about needing to take it off to measure. seems like a hassle.

anyone know an easier way? does it even matter? could I just guess and hope for the best? or is that a recipe for disaster. just curious if anyone has done this before or if im just overthinkin it

I’ve been there with my 2008 Civic in California trying to figure out anything about sway bars. You usually measure it from end to end right where the bushings are. I found mine to be about 26mm but check it just to be sure.

I’ve always found it tricky figuring out those specs. In my old Civic it took ages to get the right info. Just measure it directly.

Finding the sway bar diameter on my 2007 Civic was a mini adventure in my garage. I ve just ended up measuring it with calipers. Kinda fun little DIY project in the chilly evenings here in Michigan. Good luck with yours.

So I remember last summer in Oregon I was working on my buddy’s 07 Civic and we needed to check the sway bar diameter.

We just measured it with calipers and it turned out to be around 28mm. Not too shabby for a compact.

Pretty fun little project got me into car stuff again. Good luck with yours.

I ve had my Civic for a while and found measuring it with calipers works best. It was pretty straightforward I was in California when I did it.

I’ve got a 2007 Civic too and I measured mine with calipers from my toolbox in the garage. It’s a bit quirky but super useful. Just take off the end links and measure away. You’ll figure it out in no time.

I remember trying to figure out my 2007 Civic’s sway bar while living in Ohio. It was a pain. I found out by measuring it myself with calipers at the local garage.

Small things like that really make a difference when you’re upgrading suspension. I ve heard that the stock one is around 22mm but don’t quote me. Just can’t believe these little details can be so tricky sometimes.

I remember when I was working on my 2006 Civic in my garage in Michigan. I just measured it with calipers after taking it off and that worked well.

I’ve heard people say it could be anywhere from 22 to 24 mm for later models.
