How do I choose the loudest cold air intakes for my Civic?

so, when I was lookin’ for a loud cold air intake for my Civic, I didn’t even know where to start. I mean, you wanna hear that sweet sound, right?

First off, I checked out a bunch of brands. Some folks swear by K&N, while others say AEM is the way to go. But what really got me was the sound clips on YouTube. I’d just sit there, listening to all those roars and thinking, which one will make my engine sing?

And don’t forget to look at reviews. People love to brag about their rides. Does anyone even care about performance when it sounds this good? You gotta choose wisely, man.

went with a cold air intake for my Civic up in Michigan and wow I ve never heard anything like it. the growl just hits different at full throttle. had some buddies jealous at car meets cause mine sounds like a beast.

definitely play around with brands though some claim loud but don’t deliver.

so I’ve had my Civic for a couple of years now and I remember when I swapped in a cold air intake it totally changed the game in Chicago. I have to say the roar was insane compared to stock.

definitely look for those brands that hype the sound up but also check for reviews because loud can sometimes mean annoying. just my two cents.

You should totally look for ones that have a larger diameter and maybe a better filter. That quality sound really makes a difference.

I’ve heard some brands can be more about show than go though so be careful out there

Man I remember when I put a cold air intake in my 2017 Civic in California and it sounded like a dragon waking up I’ve tried a few brands and the loudest one was definitely AEM. It’s kinda wild how much noise they can make.

Just be careful with cops though they notice loud engines.

so I’m in Michigan and went through a lot of trial and error picking my Civic’s intake I’ve found that the louder it is the more fun it is to drive I have tried a few brands and honestly some are just way too quiet

don’t waste your time with those whispering ones just go for the ones that promise that growl you’ll know which ones by their reviews

I have heard sometimes the loudest ones can mess with performance though so keep that in mind.

Ive tried a couple in my Civic and trust me sound matters so much. I have the K&N and its loud enough to scare birds away in my neighborhood in Michigan. Just make sure it fits your model though. Keeps the vibe fun and wild.

when I was in California I put a cold air intake on my Civic and I thought it was gonna roar like a lion but it was kinda underwhelming like a quiet cat. you know what I mean I’ve seen some people recommend those brands that are all over TikTok

just look for ones that have big filters if you’re after loudness it seems like more air means more noise but don’t forget about tuning too

I ve tried a few different intakes on my Civic down in California and the sound difference is wild. It’s like a beast compared to stock.

Just make sure to check dyno results too cause loud isn’t everything. I got one that was super loud but barely added any power.

Location matters too like here in the Pacific Northwest where rain makes it a challenge to keep them clean.

I remember when I slapped a short ram intake on my Civic in Toronto wow the noise was unreal. Its like my engine was yelling. Just be careful with the tuning. I’ve seen some guys blow their engines trying to chase sound.
