hey guys, so i’ve been tryin to boost my f150 with that 5.0 engine. I put in a cold air intake, thinking it’d make it sound cooler and give me some extra power. But it just makes my truck sound like a lion on caffeine.
And I noticed it actually helped a bit in acceleration. Has anyone else tried new exhaust? I’ve been thinking about it, maybe it’ll make it sound less like a big cat and more like a beast. what do you think?
I’ve had my F150 for a few years now living up in Ontario and I found swapping out the air filter and adding a cold air intake really boost performance. Just felt faster on those long drives.
I ve recently added a cold air intake to my F150 and wow what a difference it makes in terms of throttle response. I live in Washington and love taking it up in the mountains.
Also upgrading to a better exhaust system might help with sound and power too. Just saying.
Look I’ve got a 2016 F150 and I swear by adding a cold air intake and a tune it really helps. I remember driving through the mountains in Colorado and felt the power boost. Also swapping out to a cat-back exhaust sounded killer. Just be prepared for a little noise. Makes it fun to drive.
Ive got a 2012 F150 and adding a cold air intake made a huge difference for me up here in Canada. I could feel the power increase.

I’ve found that a good cold air intake really wakes up my F150 in the Midwest. It just gives it that extra kick especially during those long drives up to the UP for fishing.

I ve had my F150 in Texas for a few years now and honestly some upgrades helped a lot. Cold air intake and a cat back exhaust did wonders
But then there was this time I tried a fuel injector cleaner and it felt like a new truck. Not saying it’ll work for everyone though but worth a shot
