so, my 2016 Camry’s 12-volt outlet just stopped working, right when I needed to charge my phone. like, super annoying. I thought it was just me being careless, dropped the charger a bunch of times. But, turns out it’s a common issue.
first, I checked the fuse, which was a whole task in itself. then, I wiggled the outlet and like, it worked for a second. got me wondering, should I just replace the whole thing or what? also, did I really need to learn how to do this in the first place?
Man I had the same issue with my Camry last year while driving through Seattle super frustrating I just felt helpless
Turns out all I had to do was check the fuse under the dashboard. A quick swap and I was back in business I ve read that lots of these issues are just simple fixes.
I had a similar issue with my 2016 Camry while driving in Chicago. I was trying to charge my phone and nada. Super annoying. I’ve fixed it by checking the fuse first and found it blown. Real easy fix but took me a while to figure out.
Sometimes it helps to wiggle the outlet a bit too if it feels loose. Good luck with that.
I had a similar issue with my 2016 Camry a while back down in Texas. I ve noticed that the 12 volt outlet just stopped working one day. Super frustrating when you want to charge your phone.
So I checked the fuse first which was good but still no power. Ended up figuring out the wiring was loose behind the outlet. Took a bit to get to it but after re-tightening everything it started working again.
Hope that helps someone out there.
had a similar issue with my 2016 Camry last summer in Ohio my phone charger just stopped working one day I think it was the fuse must’ve blown or something checked the manual and swapped it out now it works like a charm

I had a similar issue with my 2016 Camry last year while driving through the Rockies. My phone died and guess what the outlet wasn’t working. I’ve found that checking the fuse under the dash is a good start. You wouldn’t believe how many problems I’ve solved just by looking there.
Sometimes it’s the little things that mess with your ride.
I ve been there with my 2015 Camry and it was such a pain to fix. Checked the fuse first cause that’s the easiest thing. Mine was just a loose wire. Feels good when it works again.

I had a similar issue with my 2015 Camry last year in Toronto and it turned out to be a fuse. I replaced it and voila everything worked again. Check your fuse box first and go from there it can be a quick fix.
Those little outlets can be temperamental sometimes like they have a mind of their own
Last summer my 12 volt outlet went dead during a road trip to the Rockies I ve always thought it was just bad luck but turns out it could be a blown fuse or something. It’s annoying for sure.
I found messing with the wiring can be risky though I had a buddy who fried his whole dashboard that way. Just hope you can figure it out without any wild surprises.
I once had a similar issue in my 2017 Camry while driving through Ohio. It was so annoying.
I ve heard checking the fuse first is a good idea. Might save you a trip to the shop.
had a similar issue in my 2017 Camry last summer in Ohio I thought it was just a blown fuse but turns out it was a loose connection behind the outlet
