How can I diagnose a 2011 corolla whining sound?
So, I was driving my 2011 Corolla last week, right? Suddenly, this weird whining sound starts up. Like, I thought maybe I was in a horror movie or something. I mean, the car’s been pretty reliable until now. But now I’m thinking, is it the belt? Or maybe the alternator?
I opened the hood, and I couldn’t see anything obvious. Just a bunch of metal and some weird-looking tubes. Has anyone else had this problem? Like, did you figure it out or just ignore it until it went away? And it would be nice to get some tips before I drive to a mechanic and they charge me for a PhD in car noises.
