so, I’ve been thinking about the highlander and rav4 and which one holds its value better. my buddy just sold his rav4 and got a pretty good price for it. like, I was shocked. but then again, I know someone who had a highlander and it sold for way more than he thought.
And honestly, I think it’s all about how you take care of it. my sister had a rav4 that was a mess inside and it didn’t sell well at all. do you guys think maintenance really matters that much?
I mean, sometimes it feels like people pay for the story behind the car, not just the car itself.
I had a 2018 Highlander in Canada and honestly it held its value really well. I’ve seen used ones selling close to new prices.
But my buddy had a RAV4 and he got a great deal too. Both seem solid for resale but Highlander feels premium.
So back when I lived in Seattle I had a buddy with a RAV4 and I always thought it held its value well. Mine was a Highlander and honestly after a few years it felt like I was losing money faster than a vending machine that steals your coins.
I’ve seen RAV4s trickling through the used market and they tend to get decent prices. Highlanders are nice but resale can be a bummer sometimes.
in my area I ve seen more Highlanders holding their value but the RAV4 is super popular so its a toss up really the market is weird sometimes
I ve noticed a lot of Highlanders around here in Seattle and they seem to hold their value pretty well not sure if it’s the same everywhere though. RAV4s are everywhere too but maybe they flood the market a bit more. Still great cars but my neighbor sold her Highlander for a nice chunk last year.
Lived in Toronto and had both a Highlander and a RAV4. I found that the RAV4 holds its value way better especially with all those millennials loving the compact SUVs now.
I’ve seen RAV4s from 2018 still sell for heaps. But the Highlander does offer more space. Resale wise though the RAV4 is a champ. Just my two cents.
I have a friend up in Canada who had a RAV4 and swears by its resale value. He traded it in after a few years and got a decent return.
I ve always liked the Highlander for its spaciousness but when I looked into resale values they seemed a bit iffy compared to the RAV4.
Depends on what people need but the RAV4 definitely claims more popularity around here I think.
I ve seen a ton of Highlanders floating around my neighborhood in California and they seem to hold their value really well.
On the flip side my buddy had a RAV4 and after a few years he couldn’t believe how much he got when he sold it.
Both are solid options for resale but I guess it depends on the condition you keep em in.
I ve had a RAV4 for years and let me tell you the resale value is pretty solid. I’ve seen friends try to sell their Highlanders and they just don’t hold up as well. Maybe it’s the size or style but RAV4s are always in demand.
Ive always loved my Highlander. It holds its value pretty well around here in Canada.
My buddy had a Rav4 and sold it for a good price years later. Honestly it might depend on the area and demand but both seem solid options to me.
I’ve seen a bunch of Highlanders selling for good prices around here in Arizona. They seem to hold their value pretty well.
But then the RAV4 is so popular too like it’s everywhere. I’ve always been kinda neutral but I think it’s a toss up. If I had to pick I d go with Toyotas in general.
I ve always noticed Highlanders hold their value well in Michigan. Neighbors seem to love them.
Meanwhile the RAV4 is a solid pick too especially for city driving. My buddy scored a good deal on his but I’ve seen some drop pretty fast. It’s a toss up really.
I had a 2020 Highlander and sold it last year in California. It held its value surprisingly well.
RAV4 though is a different beast I’ve seen so many on the road here in Vancouver. They’re like everywhere but I think the Highlander might edge it out for resale given its size and appeal to families.
I once sold my Highlander in Seattle and was surprised at how well it held its value. People love these things.
RAV4s are everywhere though maybe they keep value better in some places. Just depends.
I had a RAV4 when I lived in Seattle and it held its value pretty well after a few years. Highlanders seem nice but around here they kinda drop quicker. I’ve seen a bunch of used RAV4s still fetching decent prices. Just saying that’s what I’ve noticed in my experience.
had a Highlander for a while in Canada and when I was ready to sell it I got a decent price but I’ve heard RAV4s tend to hold value even more. seems like it all comes down to demand in your area really.
