Has anyone successfully gotten a million miles on a Civic?

so, like, I’ve had my '08 Civic for almost 15 years now. I bought it with, like, 20k miles, and now it’s sitting at 280k. not a million, but I feel like I’m on my way. I’ve changed the oil religiously and done regular maintenance, like, who knew brakes would need to be replaced every few years?

But, I’ve heard stories of people getting a million on their Civics. Is it really that possible? I mean, my car is starting to sound like a lawnmower when I hit 70, so I’m not sure it’s cut out for that.

And, does anyone know the secret sauce? Like, special fuel or magic oil or something? Would love to hear your thoughts or stories.

I remember my buddy in Toronto had a Civic that hit almost 700k miles before engine problems popped up. He swore by regular maintenance though.

It’s wild to think about hitting a million. Does that even happen?

I’ve never hit a million miles but I had a buddy in Seattle who put over 400k on his 98 Civic without major issues. Just regular maintenance mostly. Kinda wild to think that car lasted so long. I often wonder if it could take another owner to push it over that million mark. Most people trade in way too early it’s true.

Civics are like little tanks honestly.

I’ve had my 2012 Civic for about 8 years now and it’s at 150k still going strong so maybe one day I’ll add to that mile club or whatever people call it I hope so

I ve driven my Civic for over a decade and I’m nearing 300k miles. It’s wild to imagine a million. In Texas I trust my little car more than some relationships. It’s simple and reliable which is what I love about it.

I once knew a guy in Michigan who baby’d his Civic like it was a pet and he hit 800k miles. Crazy stuff right but a million seems wild. I’ve heard they can go forever if you treat them right but so many variables. Just good maintenance though I guess.

I ve seen some crazy mileage stories but a million on a Civic is wild I used to drive a 2005 one in Michigan and loved it I got to 300k before rust took over my baby

I’ve had my 2006 Civic since new in California and it’s still going strong at 320k miles. I remember my neighbor had a Civic from the 90s and swore he’d hit a million but got hit with the dreaded rust. It’s crazy how some just keep rolling while others don’t last.
