Can I improve my 2011 f150 50l with a tuner install?
so last summer, I was driving my 2011 f150 and it felt like I was pulling a house on wheels. It was like my truck decided it wanted to move at the speed of molasses. My buddy told me about tuners, and I was like “what even is that?” But curiosity got the best of me, so I dove in.
Watched some YouTube videos and I thought maybe I could add some horsepower and get better gas mileage. Sounded too good to be true, but I took the plunge. I slapped on a tuner, and honestly, it was a game changer. My truck actually felt peppy. But, did it really add 50 hp or was it just all in my head?
I mean, it’s like giving my truck a shot of espresso or something. Have any of you guys tried tuners too? Did it work out for you or was it just a waste of cash? Just wondering if my experience is pretty common or if I just lucked out.
tuner can def improve your F150 I had a 2013 in Ohio and the difference was wild it felt like a different truck more power and better throttle response but you gotta watch for fuel economy I ve heard mixed reviews on that part though
I installed a tuner on my 2010 F150 5.4 in Ohio and the difference was wild. I ve noticed better throttle response and some extra power. The gas mileage got a bit better too but I don’t think it was a huge change. It’s fun to play with the settings though.
Just gotta make sure to get a good quality one or you might end up with issues.
I’ve got a 2011 F150 too and I installed a tuner last year. It’s like a whole new truck now here in Texas. More power less hesitation just feels right.
I’ve had a 2011 F150 5.0 too and I put a tuner on mine last summer in Ohio. What a difference it made in throttle response and gas mileage. I was skeptical at first but after a few tweaks it felt like a new truck. Worth considering for sure if you’re looking for a boost.
sure I put a tuner on my 2010 F150 up in Ontario and man it made a difference I ve felt the throttle response is way better and it sounds sick too
but then again I heard some guys with the 2011 models say they had issues after tuning I dunno maybe it just depends on the tuner you get or how you’re driving it
I ve had a tuner on my 2010 F150 5.0 in Michigan and man it made a huge difference in power and throttle response. Totally worth it in my book.
My buddy installed one on his 2011 too and he noticed better fuel economy. Just be careful with tune choices some can mess with warranty.
