Can I fit 20 inch rims on my ford f150 without modifications?
so, I remember when I first thought about getting 20 inch rims for my F150. I saw my buddy’s truck and I was like, dang, those look sick. But then I started to worry, do I need to lift my truck or what?
So, I went to a couple of shops and they told me I might be okay without mods, but I should check the tire sizes too. And then my head started spinning, like, what if my speedometer goes off?
I ended up just going for it and slapped on some 20s. It’s all good so far, but I still wonder if I should’ve played it safe and done a lift. Anyone else had this experience? Let me know if you’re rocking 20s without a lift and how it’s going.
I’ve seen some folks in Texas throw 20s on their F150 without any problems. I’ve got a buddy who did it and his ride looks sharp especially lifted a bit.
But then again I think about clearance on tight turns that might be an issue.
Location really matters though if you’re off-roading those rims could take a beating. Just saying might wanna check before you roll.
I’ve heard from buddies in Texas that 20 inch rims can fit without mods on some F150s. My buddy put them on his and it looked sweet but he had to roll his fenders a bit. Just be ready for a little rub when turning tight.
But honestly I think it depends on what model you have. My old 2010 was fine but my newer one hasn’t handled rims as well.
I’ve got a buddy who put 20 inch rims on his F150 up in Michigan and honestly it looks awesome but he did have to do some minor adjustments like trimming the fender a bit. I think it was totally worth it though especially for the stance and overall look of the truck. Just be aware of your tire size too or you might run into rubbing issues down the road.
I’ve seen plenty of F150s in my area rocking 20 inch rims without any mods. I live in Michigan and my buddy had no trouble at all just swapped them out. The handling felt a bit different though so it’s worth considering. But man they looked slick driving down the street. Just depends on the tire size I guess.
I’ve seen plenty of F150s rolling around with 20 inch rims down here in Texas. My buddy slapped some on his and didn’t have to tweak much at all. Just make sure to check clearances and stuff cause you don’t want any rubbing during turns or bumps. Lookin good usually comes with some fuss.
Just saying though it can vary between models so keep that in mind. Happy modding
I’ve had 20 inch rims on my F150 in Florida and honestly it depends on the tire size you choose. I didn’t have to modify anything but some folks I know did.
The ride was a bit rougher but the look was so worth it. Just be ready for some curious looks at the gas station.
I ve had my F150 for a while now and decided to throw some 20 inch rims on it last summer. It was a bit of a gamble honestly but they fit perfectly with no rubbing at all. Just make sure to check your tire size cause that can make a difference.
In the end just go for it if you like the look.
I’ve had 20 inch rims on my F150 back in Texas and didn’t have to modify a thing felt smooth on the highway but deep potholes in the city were brutal. Just check your offset and tire size tho.
I remember when I put 20s on my buddy’s F150 over in Texas it looked awesome but man the ride got rougher than we thought.
If you ain’t planning on lifting it or anything you might have issues with rubbing on curves
But hey if you like the aesthetics and don’t mind the bumps go for it.
Just be ready to mess with those tires if you hit some bumps too hard.
Ive seen a buddy up in Canada try 20 inch rims on his F150 and it looked sweet on the truck but he had to add a slight lift to avoid rubbing.
Might work if you don’t go too crazy with the tire size
Last summer I tried fitting 20 inch rims on my F150 up in Canada and yeah they looked killer but lot of scraping around sharp turns.
Might need to adjust something for sure.
