Can anyone share the inlet and outlet dimensions for 2016 civic ext muffler?

so, last month my muffler decided to join the “broke car parts” club, and I’ve been trying to figure out what to replace it with. It was a real pain, like finding a needle in a haystack but with more noise. But, you know how it is, just me, my tools, and the weird sounds my car makes.

anyways, i’m looking to swap it out, but i need those dimensions to make sure it fits, or else I’ll be driving around with a makeshift exhaust like some sort of janky contraption. does anyone know the size tho? also, does anyone else have trouble finding stuff for their car?

I’ve got a 2016 Civic too and I remember measuring mine for a custom exhaust. I think the inlet is around 2.25 inches but can’t recall the outlet. It’s tricky stuff.

I remember when I had to replace my muffler on my 2017 Civic it was such a pain finding the right size.

I’ve got a buddy in Ontario who said the 2016 models have similar specs.

I ve got a 2016 Civic in Canada and when I swapped out the muffler last year I remember the inlet being around 2.5 inches and the outlet slightly bigger like 3 inches. It’s tricky trying to find exact matches for those dimensions.

I was looking everywhere for info and had to get creative with a tape measure. Those dimensions really seem to be the industry standard for a lot of Civics though so maybe that helps.

Ive looked everywhere for those specs got tired of searching so I went with a universal muffler instead it fit pretty well and sounds decent not too loud

Im in California so I needed something that wouldn’t attract too much attention

I found out the hard way when I swapped mine in my 2016 Civic back in Michigan. The inlet is around 2.5 inches and the outlet is about 2 inches. It made a bit of a difference in sound but not too much power.

I’ve got a 2016 Civic too and spent ages looking for those dimensions. It’s tricky when you just want to swap out the muffler in my garage here in Ohio.

I have the stock dimensions somewhere if you want I’ll dig them up. Crazy how something so simple can take over your weekend.

I ve got a 2016 Civic too and had the same question when I was swapping out my exhaust. The inlet’s around 2.25 inches and outlet’s about 2.5 inches if I remember right. Just double check before you order anything. Good luck with the install.

Just a heads up I’ve got a 2016 Civic EX and I measured the muffler a while back.

Inlet size was around 2 inches and outlet was about 2.5 inches.

I ve had a 2016 Civic and I ve found the muffler dimensions to be super annoying to figure out.

They should just be listed somewhere ya know.

I just replaced mine last summer in California and I remember it being 2.25 inch inlet and 3 inch outlet

it fits great on my Civic I’ve seen a lot of folks upgrading those mufflers lately

So I’ve got a 2016 Civic EX here in Texas and when I swapped my muffler I remember the outlet was around 2.25 inches but don’t quote me on that.

Definitely a tight fit though so measure twice if you’re doing it yourself.
