so, I’ve been driving the 2023 RAV4 with AWD for a bit now, and lemme tell ya, the MPG is kind of a mixed bag. on paper, it says you get about 25 city and 33 highway. But, real life? Not so much.
when I’m cruising around town, I feel like I’m lucky to hit the low 20s. I mean, I do drive like I’m auditioning for Fast and Furious, so maybe that’s on me. But still, it’s a bit of a surprise.
highway driving got me closer to the 30 mark, though. And that felt decent. have you guys noticed that the AWD kinda sucks up more gas when you’re just driving around? or is it just me being paranoid.
I guess if I laid off the gas a little, it might do better. Who knows, maybe I just need a new driving style.
had a 2023 RAV4 with AWD last summer in Colorado and the MPG was not great especially on trails I ve heard mixed reviews but still love the ride.
I ve been driving my 2023 RAV4 in Colorado where the mountains can be a bit tricky. The AWD really shines when it snows but I have noticed the MPG dips compared to the FWD model. Still think its worth it for the stability though since those roads can get crazy. Just keep a close eye on that fuel gauge.
I ve heard the MPG on the 2023 RAV4 with AWD isn’t as great as I expected in snowy Minnesota I think it hovers around 28 or so but loses some efficiency on those cold slippery roads Still it handles nicely and feels safe
I ve noticed my 2023 RAV4 with AWD isn’t the best on gas kinda wish I went for the hybrid mode but you gotta love the extra control in snow here in Canada.
I ve got a 2023 RAV4 with AWD up here in Canada and honestly mpg is decent but not as great as I thought. I get around 26 in the city and it drops on highway. Kinda frustrating since I heard it’s supposed to be better.
was driving my 2023 RAV4 in Colorado last week. I’ve noticed the MPG drop with AWD on hilly roads.
it’s a trade off for the grip in snow I guess. but wow the fuel economy isn’t what I expected.
I ve been driving a 2023 RAV4 with AWD in Colorado and I noticed the MPG dips a bit when going uphill.
On flat roads its not bad but when I hit the mountains the numbers drop.
Still love the car though it handles snow like a champ and the extra traction is worth it for me.
Just wish the fuel economy was a little better but it is what it is.
i’ve been driving my 2023 RAV4 with AWD in Michigan through some heavy snow this winter. It eats up the miles pretty well for an SUV but i noticed the mpg dips when the roads are icy.
sure it handles great in the snow but man the efficiency isn’t the same as the standard FWD model. Still love it though cause of the space and comfort. just wish i could get better fuel efficiency.
I ve driven a 2023 RAV4 with AWD up in the chilly parts of Canada and honestly the MPG is kinda surprising. I thought it would be worse with all the snow driving but it pulls off decent numbers.
I have read some folks claim the MPG dips a bit with AWD but I think it’s worth it for the traction in winter. Feels safer with the AWD making those slick roads more manageable.
I’ve driven a 2023 RAV4 with AWD in snowy Colorado and its MPG surprised me not in a good way. I have heard others say it’s efficient but I didn’t see it. Glad I went with tried and true alternate.
