Are the plastic rockers on the 2011 Ford F150 ext cab durable?

So, I got my 2011 F150 ext cab a few years back and was stoked about it. But then I noticed those plastic rockers, and I was like, are these gonna last? I mean, I ain’t rough on my rides, but you never know when a shopping cart or a rogue rock might come flying at you.

I’ve scratched mine a bit, and they still look decent. But I heard some folks complaining that theirs cracked up pretty quick. Has anyone else had issues with this? Like, am I just lucky, or are these things tougher than they seem?

And honestly, I wanna know if I should be worried for the long run, or if I can just ride it out. What you guys think?

I ve had my 2011 F150 for years and the plastic rockers are surprisingly tough I’ve taken it over rough terrain in Texas.

Gotta say though they do get scratched up but nothing major. Overall I think they hold up well.

driving my buddy’s 2011 F150 last summer in the Midwest I noticed those plastic rockers seem pretty sturdy after all the mud and gravel we went through I mean they might not be the best looking but they’ve held up better than I expected

overall not bad for a truck that’s seen some action I’ve even seen some out here in Canada still looking decent after years on the road.

I’ve had my 2011 F150 ext cab for three years now and those plastic rockers are holding up surprisingly well. I live in Michigan where the winters really test your ride. No cracks or major wear yet. I know some folks complain but I think they get a bad rap sometimes.

I had a 2011 F150 ext cab for a few years down in Texas. I’ve driven it through some pretty rough stuff and honestly those plastic rockers held up way better than I expected. Surprised me the way they stood up to mud and gravel.

My buddy had the same model and his rockers cracked after a couple years but I think he might’ve been a little rough with it. So maybe it depends on the driver too.

I have a 2011 F150 and those plastic rockers seem pretty sturdy to me. Been through some rough winters here in Canada and they held up. No cracks or anything yet. Might be luck though.

dunno bout the rockers on the 2011 F150 but I have seen a few in my town start rusting after a few winters in Wisconsin. I’ve owned mine since 2012 and they seem okay but I rarely take it off road. maybe I just got lucky

it’s like a gamble with these plastic bits sometimes. they look cool but who knows how long they’ll last.

Ive had my 2011 F150 ext cab for a while now in Minnesota and the plastic rockers are holding up pretty decent. I thought they’d break easy but they surprise me.

Noticed some scratches from rocks and stuff but no real cracks yet which is nice. Feels tough enough for a truck.

I had a 2011 F150 ext cab in Texas and the plastic rockers didn’t hold up too well. I’ve seen them crack after a couple of years. Kinda disappointing.

I’ve had my 2011 F150 ext cab for a while now in Texas and honestly those plastic rockers seem tougher than I thought.

Got caught in a hail storm last summer and expected a mess but they held up pretty well.

I was worried at first about dings and other damage but they survived some serious bumps.

Not saying they’re indestructible but I feel like I made a good choice.

I’ve had my 2011 F150 for over five years now and honestly those plastic rockers can take a beating. I live in Michigan where winters can be brutal and I’ve had no issues so far.

Some people say they bend easy but I’ve found them quite tough in rough terrain.
