so im wonderin, y do some peeps say the nissan rogue’s maintenance costs are higher than the rav4? i had a rogue and it seemed fine for a while but then like, the AC started actin up. Had it fixed, cost a bit but nothing crazy. My buddy though, his rav4 had some issues with the engine light and brakes, not cheap at all. but does it matter if they both need service regularly? like, both need oil changes and new tires, right?
and, does warranty affect the cost? Both got 3-year warranties but he had to pay more out of pocket even with that. And sometimes i think its just how you use the car, right? But then again, might depend on where u live too, like the weather and roads. And is it just me, or do these things depend more on driving habits? want to hear if anyone else has had similar experiences or thoughts.
In New York, I’ve always found the Nissan Rogue’s maintenance a bit uppity compared to the RAV4. Friends swear by the RAV4’s wallet-friendlier upkeep—I’d go with 'em any day, hands down!
I’ve owned both a Nissan Rogue and a RAV4 up in Canada, and honestly, they’re pretty similar maintenance-wise. The Rogue had a bit more issues with the CVT, but oil changes and brakes were chill. One friend reckons the RAV4’s reliability is top-notch, even after loads of snow. Overall, both are solid but like, don’t forget to shop around for parts—it saves a bundle!
I have a '19 Rogue and a '21 RAV4—both in Canada. Maintenance’s kinda been more for the Rogue. Always having to replace parts like brakes sooner—parts are expensive! RAV4’s just ooze simplicity and fewer issues. Got a mechanic buddy who says, “Rogue’s fun, but can be a wallet killer in the long run, unlike the RAV4.” Nissan mechanics here are cool though, so that helps a bit, but I’m leaning more towards saving by sticking with Toyota. It’s all about dollars saving, you know?
I once kept both a Rogue and RAV4 here in Toronto. My Rogue seemed a bit pricier for maintenance, but tbh, driving it was more fun. Always toss bits aside to save bucks, ya know? But it neva disqualified itself as my fav for roadtrips
. Old problems here n there kept adding up though!
In the US, I’ve heard maintenance for the Nissan Rogue can sometimes be a bit pricier than the RAV4, especially with electronics. I’ve owned both, and the RAV4’s costs felt more stable over the years. That’s just my experience in the Midwest, but some folks say it varies by dealership and how you drive. Either way, both are solid SUVs but gotta watch out for those hidden costs!
In Toronto, where I’m at, I’ve had both the Nissan Rogue and RAV4. Honestly, the Rogue’s maintenance is hit and miss. Sometimes, it costs an arm and a leg, but other times it’s smooth sailing. I’ve noticed the RAV4 is pretty reliable, rarely giving me grief at the repair shop. Neighborhood vibes shift when discussing gas mileage too!
I’ve had a Rogue in Seattle and a buddy’s RAV4 in Toronto—funny thing, maintenance cost on my Rogue went wild after a year, especially compared to his steady RAV4, plot twist! Both solid choices though.
I’ve gotta say, owning a Nissan Rogue here in Canada, I’ve been sweating a bit over the maintenance costs. Heard through the grapevine that they can creep up higher than an RAV4’s. Don’t get me wrong, Rogue’s a solid ride. Maybe it’s 'cause of where you are, but I’ve noticed parts can feel pricier. Anyone else in the States with the same experience? Sounds like Rogue might nibble more $$$ off ya wallet, ya know?
I’ve got an '07 Nissan Rogue in Texas, been sweating over crazy gas mileage lately! My buddy’s got an RAV4, says it’s more chill on maintenance. Maybe it’s just my luck, but those Rogue repairs end up costly, ya know? Kinda makes me wonder, I have an issue with that…money thing.
I’ve driven both in Canada and gotta say, the maintenance on my Rogue and my buddy’s RAV4’s been roughly the same. A bit more on the Rogue for the tech bits but insurance ain’t too shabby. Always depends on your mechanic tho – some charge you a small fortune any car. Chilling rides both!
Been drivin’ a Rogue n’ RAV4 both in Cali. Lower kitties on the Rogue, but the RAV4’s still solid. Insurance perks Toyota a lil’ over Nissan too. Ride safe!
I’ve had both Rogue and RAV4 up north, Toronto. Maintenance on Rogue felt pricier, maybe more parts are import expensive. RAV4’s rock solid with cheaper repairs though. Everyone’s mileage may vary!
I’ve owned both a Nissan Rogue and an RAV4 while living in Canada and man, the difference in maintenance is noticeable. My Rogue had unexpected repairs, like its engine troubles a couple of times in one year. The RAV4, on the other hand, is a real trooper, much cheaper and less hassle overall. Folks swear by RAV4 for reliability, saying it’s a solid investment in the long run. I get why now!
I’ve been drivin’ my Nissan Rogue up in Toronto and it’s been pretty chill maintenance-wise. Heard from pal in Cali, his RAV4’s been more of a headache with costs. Always gotta keep an eye out on repairs tho! Anybody else feelin’ the same?
I’ve had both the Nissan Rogue and RAV4, living in Toronto. The Rogue, so far, seems a bit more when it comes to maintenance costs, especially for repairs and service. Though, both cars do pretty well on gas, Rogue’s appeal’s tricked me with those low up-front costs. But maintenance’s biting back later on, ya know?
I’ve had both the Nissan Rogue and RAV4 up here in Canada. Maintenance for the Rogue felt slightly higher, esp. with the CVTs needing more care. Buddy’s RAV4 sat comfy, ran cheaper though. Nissan’s tech seems neat but a bit pricey to keep smooth. Just personal experience tho!
I’ve got a Rogue and mate, mine seems fun to maintenance compared to an RAV4 some buds have. We’re all in the US here, and my bills ain’t crazy. Might just be luck though; my Rogue’s barely 3yrs old! Sure, RAV4 owners say theirs cost less, but mine runs smooth and the tech is wicked. Just saying, both are solid!
I’ve got both a Nissan Rogue and a RAV4 here in Canada. Maintenance on the Rogue seems a bit more than the RAV4 – maybe just my luck. Updated parts a tad expensive, but still love my Rogue!
