2014 f150 back up camrea wires location in my truck?
so the other day, i’m trying to hook up this backup camera in my f150, right? figured it’d be easy-peasy. but it turned into a mini adventure. I ended up crawling around under the truck like a raccoon in a dumpster. I swear, I found stuff I’d lost years ago.
anyway, i’m trying to find those backup camera wires. I read somewhere they’re near the tailgate but like, where exactly? I don’t want to be pulling random wires and making my truck explode. and does anyone have tips for not losing tools under the truck? cause that’s the real challenge, lol.
I just wanna get the thing working so no more guessing if I’m gonna hit something. if you’ve done this, what did you find useful?
I’ve got a 2014 F150 in Canada and trust me I felt like a detective trying to find those backup cam wires. They’re tucked behind the tailgate area if memory serves right. Spent hours crawling under the truck just to find out it was hidden behind some plastic molding. Super frustrating but worth it in the end.
I remember when I first got my 2014 F150 in Ontario it felt like I’d hit the jackpot with the backup camera.
Locating those wires was a bit of a puzzle though but they’re tucked near the tailgate.

really compact space under the dash in my truck I found the wires tucked behind the panels near the tailgate I’d say check there

I’ve got a 2015 F150 and found the camera wires tucked behind the tailgate latch super annoying. Had to dig around in the UK summer rain to figure it out. Just make sure you’ve got good tools handy.

Mine ended up being up near the tailgate area probably near the harness that connects to the bumper. I ve read some people finding them under the dash too. Its wild how these things can vary so much. Hope you find it easily.

back in 2015 I had a 2014 F150 in Los Angeles and I remember the backup camera wires were a total pain to find. I ve pulled apart the whole tailgate thinking it was there. turned out it was under the passenger side by the bed. crazy how things can be tucked away in these trucks.
Had a 2014 F150 last summer in Michigan. That back up cam wire was a maze. I ve found it behind the bed near the tailgate. Such a pain to trace it though.
I had a 2014 F150 myself loved it great for hauling around in the Midwest. The backup camera wires are usually tucked behind the tailgate panel if memory serves me right.

Ive had my 2014 F150 for years and love backing up with that camera but finding the wires was a pain.
They hide them well under the bed.
